Leadership and Management The aim of this unit is to enable the learner to understand theories of leadership and management and how to use leadership and management skills to improve motivation and performance. The learner will also understand the development and effectiveness of teams. 15 Opt
Managing Finance in the Public Sector To provide the skills and techniques to analyse and control finance in a public sector environment. To explain accountability for public sector finance. 10 Opt
Managing Stakeholder Engagement The aim of the unit is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge and understanding required to engage with stakeholders and to learn how to manage stakeholders in projects and organisations. 10 Opt

Admission Requirements Qualifications

For learners who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include one of the following:

·  prior study in Healthcare Management or related subjects at level 5 or above

·  a level 5 qualification for example an ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Management for Health and Social Care

·  other equivalent international qualifications

·  Learners may also have relevant work experience

Language

For those whom English is not their first language we recommend the following standards of proficiency in English language skills or an approved equivalent for this qualification:

·  IELTs 5.5

·  Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2

·  Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 162 or above

·  Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic 42-49

Course Delivery Approach

The courses are delivered primarily via instructor-led sessions, with experienced instructors.  They are delivered in a hybrid (face-to-face and online) format, by UK and local teaching staff. Sessions will be fully subject-immersive and will include role-playing and use of CBT tools to augment delivery.

 

Assessment & Certification

Assessment of academic performance will be through candidate-completed assignments and portfolios of work.  The final program outcome is a United Kingdom Ofqual qualification.
