About this course

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) at approved testing centers, locally and internationally.

The test has four sections and is structured as follows –

Section 1 (Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)):

This is a 30-minute Analytical Writing Assessment Section where the test candidate analyzes one argument. In this section, test takers have to write a response to an essay prompt, using their analytical and writing skills. The section is scored on a scale of 1 to 6 points.

Section 2 (Integrated Reasoning (IR)):

This is a 30-minute Integrated Reasoning Section that comprises 12 multiple choice questions.  This section measures the student’s ability to analyse, combine and interpret mathematical, pictorial and reasoning data in the form of tables, graphs and diagrams.

Section 3 Quantitative Ability (QA):

This is a 62-minute Quantitative Section that includes 31 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The level of content tested on this section is roughly equivalent to high school Mathematics.

Section 4 Verbal Ability (VA):

This is a 65-minute Verbal Section wherein you answer 36 multiple choice questions.  This is often referred to as the ‘English’ section.  The candidate has to solve 36 MCQs. The three areas tested are Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension.

EMBT Academy prepares candidates for all 4 sections of GMAT.  Tutoring fees are indicated per test section, with course durations from 1 – 2 semesters, depending on the mode of study (e.g. Intensive, Standard or Part-Time).

All tutoring sessions are instructor-led, with the classes delivered by expert and experienced instructors.  Our tutors are typically UK or US -qualified Professors and Lecturers, with several years’ experience of teaching the subject matter.  For those candidates preparing for external examinations and tests, we provide multiple practice test drills, sample question papers, mock tests and simulated exams, to ensure readiness for the assessments and enhanced performance.
