ENG706A (Level 1) content includes: · Introduction to the English language · The structure of English · The sound patterns of English · Basic English composition · Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking – Basic practice · Grammar, tenses, verb structures and punctuation · English vocabulary development · Basic conversation drills
ENG706B (Level 2) content includes: · Intermediate English composition · Introduction to Business/Occupational English · Further work with grammar, tenses, verb structures and punctuation · English vocabulary development – intermediate level · Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking – Further practice · Grammar, tenses, verb structures and punctuation – intermediate level · Intermediate-level conversation drills
ENG706C (Level 3) content includes: · Advanced English composition · Further work with Business/Occupational English with special focus on the SEN sector · Advanced grammar, tenses, verb structures and punctuation · English vocabulary development – advanced level · Advanced Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking · Grammar, tenses, verb structures and punctuation – advanced level · Advanced conversation drills · Applied English linguistics and semantics considerations · English language etiquette and cultural issues, contextualized for the SEN learning environment

The courses are delivered via instructor-led sessions, with experienced UK-qualified English instructors. Sessions will be fully language-immersive and will include role-playing and use of CBT tools to augment delivery.
Assessment of performance will be through delegate-completed portfolio of work. The final course outcome is a college-issued “English Proficiency” Course Certificate of Completion, for each level attained.
